What Is Conjugated Estrogen Plus Bazedoxifene?

Bazedoxifene is a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) and has similar benefits to hormone therapy, but does not act on the breast tissue. Duavee® is bazedoxifene paired with conjugated estrogens and indicated for women who still have their uterus for treatment of moderate to severe symptoms associated with menopause and the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis and is available as a tablet.

What are the side effects of bazedoxifene paired with conjugated estrogens?

Side effects may include muscle spasms, nausea, diarrhea, dyspepsia, upper abdominal pain, oropharyngeal pain, dizziness, and neck pain.
