Be a Peer Educator
Our Peer Educators receive 9 hours of training to prepare them to give community talks on bone health and share information at health fairs. The training teaches life-long bone health skills as well as the latest in osteoporosis diagnosis, prevention and treatment. Peer Educators conduct a number of outreach programs from screenings to workshops.
- Must love getting out and meeting people
- Must be willing to give public talks
Minimum commitment of one year and participate in two Signature Events or one Signature Event and one Community Talk (generally 12 hours/year)
Personal Development Opportunities
Gain or improve public speaking and presentation skills, increase knowledge of current health trends as related to bones, balance and strength, enhance one-to-one communication and education skills
