Peer educator Liberty Adair receives ARRT’s Gold Standard award
MARCH 27, 2019 – Congratulations are due to Liberty Adair, one of American Bone Health’s valued Peer Educators and imaging center supervisor at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Hillcrest in Waco, Texas. Adair was recently recognized with the I Am the Gold Standard award from the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians, a professional credentialing organization. The Gold Standard honors radiology techs for their accomplishments in quality and safety, patient experience and advocating for the profession.
Adair’s volunteer work with American Bone Health includes presenting educational workshops on bone health in nursing homes, at assisted living communities and through programs for people with disabilities. According to ARRT, “She also staffs an annual community health and wellness fair, where she promotes bone density and teaches attendees about osteoporosis.”
ABH relies on its dedicated Peer Educators to present its educational programming across the country, and we are eager to share stories of how our PEs are making a difference in their communities. Send information about yourself or an American Bone Health PE you know to firstname.lastname@example.org.
