American Bone Health Named Winner in 21st Annual Digital Health Awards® Fall 2019 Session

American Bone Health was selected as a winner in 21st annual Digital Health Awards® program. This competition — held each spring and fall — recognizes the world’s best digital health resources.

American Bone Health received a Merit award for its entry “Healthy Living: Preparing Your Mind, Body and Bones for the 3-Day” in the Web-Based Digital Health: Microsite category. The “Healthy Living” site provided content for a partnership with Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading breast cancer charity, around its 3-Day series of fundraising walks.

American Bone Health staff members involved in the project were Kathleen Cody, executive director; Mark Richens, media coordinator; Pat FitzGerald, managing editor; and Samuel Strickland, website developer.

“We were delighted to participate in the 21st annual Digital Health Awards competition, and were honored to be selected as a winner,” said Kathleen Cody. “Our winning entry was chosen from more than 300 entries judged by a panel of distinguished experts in digital health media.”

The Digital Health Awards® program is organized by the Health Information Resource CenterSM (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields. Other well-known HIRC programs include the annual National Health Information AwardsSM, (healthawards.com) which annually recognizes the nation’s best consumer health programs and materials (for non-digital resources), and the annual National Women’s Health & Fitness Day® .
