Oct. 29, 2020 – American Bone Health is proud to welcome Sabrina E. Noel, PhD, RD, to its Medical and Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Noel is an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical and Nutritional Sciences and director for community engagement for the Center for Population Health at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She also serves as director of the Health Assessment Laboratory in the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences.
Dr. Noel is a trained nutritional epidemiologist and certified registered dietitian. Her community-engaged research agenda focuses on studying the role of dietary quality on age-related chronic diseases, such as osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease, and on health disparities in disadvantaged and ethnic minority populations.
“Dr. Sabrina Noel will be a valuable asset for American Bone Health’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Board given her experience in partnering with communities to shape health programs and policies,” said Kathleen Cody, executive director of American Bone Health. “We also look forward to benefiting from her contributions as an expert on how diet affects the health of populations. Having her on the MSAB will help us improve our information and resources on nutrition, which we know are in high demand among consumers.”
The MSAB is a vital resource for American Bone Health, helping ensure that the community-based organization provides up-to-the-minute evidence-based information to help people build and maintain strong, healthy bones for life.
